Senior Finance Manager
Our client: A FMCG company based in Penang.
Responsibilities:
- Support the operations leadership by continuously seeking cost reduction opportunities, improve cost efficiency and productivity.
- Responsible for continuous improvement of management information & reporting system (both management reporting and statutory reporting), providing analytical support on new business models for decision making.
- Conduct regular interlock with various functions within operations team (such as Sales & Marketing, Exports, Production, Engineering, Logistics, Procurement, Warehousing and R&D).
- Review and document existing business process, system flows & SOP on a periodical basis and to ensure the internal controls are proper and adequate.
- Experience in Pronto ERP/MRP application system will be an advantage.
- Well verse in the daily AP / AR / GL / Treasury operations and excel in preparing group consolidated accounts.
- Review financial & management reports and prepare in depth financial analysis for management decision making.
- Prepare the monthly presentation slides for the management review meeting.
- Develop a framework for risk management by identifying all types of risks and controls for insurance coverage. Evaluate each type of risk involved and make recommendations for mitigation.
- To perform due diligence exercise on any corporate exercises.
Requirements:
- A recognized degree in Accounting or Finance or Professional Accountancy Qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, MICPA or equivalent.
- Candidate must be a member of MIA or/and a MBA qualification will be an added advantage.
- At least 8 years working experience, preferably with an exposure in the FMCG industry and food products environment.
- Those with external audit and manufacturing related experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business decisions to financial implications and influence business decisions.
- Ability to drive for results with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Positive attitude and able to work under pressure.
