GM/Head of IT
Our client: A Public Listed Property Developer Company in Klang Valley.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and align the IT Strategies to overall Company’s business objectives and ensure that it evolves to meet the changing needs of the organisation and its business units.
- Establish policies, standards, procedures, processes and risk management for the use of IT within the organization and monitor adherence.
- Perform any other duties and/or assignments deemed appropriate should the need arise.
- Application Systems and its IT infrastructure including of server computing, cloud computing, LAN & WAN network, security, etc.
- Proven experience and successful execution of medium to large IT projects.•
- Good in strategic planning skills and ability to balance between technical or technology direction or limitation and the business requirement or expectation.
- In charge of all company technology, technological resources. Establish company’s technology vision, strategies and plans for growth.
- Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development.
- Manage IT related risk by developing and supporting a IT disaster recovery plan, implementing IT security and data protection policies, and implementing IT security standards and technologies advised by management.
- Studying information processing system to evaluate effective and make recommendation for improvement.
- Evaluate potential new IT system and prepare and present the business case, which should include return on investment analysis.
- Monitor trends IT and the project development & hospitality sectors to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement of the company’s use of IT Systems and services.
- Work with the project development, contract, sales & marketing, finance, hospitality and commercial teams to understand target personas in order to develop and implement digital journeys and experiences that deliver the commercial objectives.
- Take a data-led approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and defining analysis and improvement plan.
- Responsible to ensure that automation is at the core of cloud infrastructure operations. Drive a strategy to fully automate cloud infra operations from technical platforms to organisational changes to processes targeting cost savings but above all delivery a stable cloud infrastructure.
- Implementing Data Mining in organisation including experience of relevant software to implement data mining.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years senior IT management experience within project development and hospitality.
- Strong knowledge in IT/Computer/Business – Networking, Software, Application, or equivalent.•
- Exposure and understanding of IT trends, with good understanding of IT architecture for alignment of technologies suitable for adoption.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
- Experience in E tender for housing development & construction industry.
- Experience in Hotel & F&B Digitalization.
- Experience in supporting and implementing Microsoft related infrastructure technologies.
- Project management experience with proven track record in implementing IT project.
- Ability to communicate complex problems in a non-technical and simplified manner.
- Ability to effectively communicate business needs to IT.
- Experience in setting up organisation Data Mining experience.
