Sales & Marketing Director (Property)

Our client: A Public Listed Property Company based in Klang Valley.

Responsible for the efficient running of the Sales & Marketing division in line with the company's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting purchaser, business partner, employee and owner expectations. The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible to position the property in the local and oversea marketplace through appropriate sales and marketing initiatives and to ensure the property product and services align with the positioning and brand promise created through marketing communications.

Entrepreneurial and creative. Innovation and creativity are key to being a good Director Sales & Marketing, along with the ability to grow sales rapidly while maintaining business continuity. The primary function of this role is to accelerate the growth of sales. Collaborating with senior team to set revenue goals and company strategy and implementing a sales plan to drive revenue growth and attending key events to generate leads. The successful candidate will be energetic, persuasive and well organized and able to demonstrate the ability to sell.

Responsibilities:

  • To formulate effective sales channels and marketing activities to increase sales activities in local and international markets.
  • To lead and provide sales & marketing strategies, solutions and operational plans to the management to help the company achieve its business objectives.
  • Develops Sales Plan and Business Plan that will guide the long-term revenue growth and profitability of the Company.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends.
  • Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analysing trends and results.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams and fosters a culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Report on key KPIs related to the lead and the opportunity waterfall in order to implement a consistent closed-loop between marketing and sales.
  • To build the Company’s branding and corporate identity through marketing channels, social media, activities, business events, forum and public communications.
  • Liaison with lawyers, authorities, bankers, valuers, for any matters linked to sales and marketing.
  • Able to identify challenges and hindrances both internally and externally, along with sales opportunities, and be able to use their keen problem-solving skills to resolve them.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Property Development or equivalent.
  • At least of 10 years of experience in high-level sales, working in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment. They should also have a successful track record of achieving and exceeding goals in leadership positions while growing a sales organization for businesses.
  • Well-groomed with good communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Have a proven track record of developing innovative sales strategies that have helped put the companies they worked for ahead of the competition. A good candidate should also have experience working in strategic financial planning and the ability to deliver management-level analyses and opinions to senior executives, the c-suite and board members.
  • Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems.
  • As the head of the sales department must be able to effectively and clearly communicate with their team. This will be necessary to not only determine their performance internally, but also to determine their ability to maintain and establish business relationships externally.
  • Must be able to communicate with key stakeholders and the Chief Operating Officer/Group Managing Director concerning the sales department in the form of reports, proposals and presentations and provide instructional materials to junior level sales personnel. Therefore, their communication in materials must be concise, clear and convincing.
  • Knowledge of competitor research and market trend analysis.
  • Ability to show customers and other client stakeholders the company’s value proposition.
